End of Month articles

At the name implies, in these articles I sum up what went on that month in particular with my ongoing projects with some personal snippets sprinkled throughout.

Something important to note is that back then I used to identify my videos by numbers so I and whoever watched my content could know which one I was talking about as they sometimes had recherché titles making them hard to distinguish and write out from memory.

August 2018 (2018.08.31)

It has been an “interesting” month, and by that I mean uneventful.

I started high school this month, so it left me with pretty much no free time to work on my stuff. I have additionally been looking for jobs nearby so I am able to earn some bucks during any semester break I get. I’ve had so little free time in fact that I rushed this entire website [version 1] in just a weekend, and I believe I will continue to have to rush projects if I plan on finishing them given this stern schedule.

I began making the 4th video earlier this month, maybe even in late July… I can’t remember, but it’s not finished yet. As such, I’m expecting to finish it by October and upload it here some days before uploading it to YouTube, here’s a one-frame preview:

Of course, another important event for me this month was the hosting of this website, roaming97.com. I’ve wanted to do this for so long (since about late 2017) but never really took the time to put into practice my web development knowledge, so HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’m still glad it’s done, though.

Besides that, I’m working on a special project that I might give details of soon. Although that’s pretty much I have to say for this month, I’ll keep updating here within the next couple days as always, if I got the time that is.

September 2018 (2018.10.04)

I’ve been pretty much dead these past couple of months due to the reasons I have mentioned before taking up time of my life. I’ll still try to write something in this space, though.

Progress on the videos that have been in the making has been made during the past month before ultimately putting them on hold. I predict I will be available by November-December once I’m on holiday vacation to be able to finish those videos as well as adding other features to this site while still keeping it minimal. Just me posting my material without anything in the way. It’s not that I’m mad about lacking free time, but I don’t want to leave this site completely abandoned and forget about it either, I want to make the most out of my money.

I’m planning to post something special hopefully soon, so stay tuned.

October 2018 (2018.11.01)

Hm, I have done plenty of things this month:

For example: I began to work on other projects as well as learning a new piece of software to add to my video editing knowledge, that being Premiere Pro.

Due to some interactions I’ve had both online and in real life, I was inspired to take the roaming97 project to a new direction next year, having said that there’s still some planning to do.

Now, about video 4…

After working on it for about a month I could not help but notice how spotty and stylistically inconsistent it looked. So I will be redoing the video from the ground up to give it a cleaner look and execution. It mainly shows 3D models and wireframes, like this one:

By the way, this is not resampling, it’s a mild trail I’ve applied to the frame.

So because of that it’s unlikely that video 4 will be the next video that I will release but something else instead. I still hope to bring myself to complete this video before the end of the year, which I still doubt because of all the activities and responsibilities that take up my time, which are mainly the reason I have been leaving this site inactive in periods of 2-3 weeks.

It has been a fun month, I will still try to finish everything or at least make significant progress on all of my projects before the end of the year. Hoping for a just as fun October.

A wallpaper that could become a video (2018.10.20)

I’ve made a wallpaper during the scarce free time I have in order to not get rusty, feel free to use it for your desktop, you may print it and then eat it, I don’t know, do whatever you’d like. Maybe one day I’ll upload more of these and even be just one frame of a whole video, who knows?
